Negotiations Update Print
Monday, March 04 2013 01:49

We made progress in many language areas and the Board offered a 3 year contract that was equal to the cost of living index.
We will meet again Monday March 4th at 6:30 p.m. and prior to that meeting the Board will release a comprehensive statement.
The strike continues and child care is scheduled to start Monday 3/4/2013.

Over the last two days, our building principals have been working to establish a child care plan to start on Monday, March 4th.  Parents who have turned in a registration form were called today informing them of where to take their child on Monday.  We want to remind parents that for safety purposes, parents must escort their children into buildings to sign them in and out.  Child care will run from 7:20 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.  Please remember to provide your child with a lunch, and snacks are welcome.
If you are a parent who has not signed up for child care but are interested, you can print off a registration form found on our website.  Take the registration form to a nearby elementary school to get your child signed up.  We will make every effort to get your child enrolled that day.
In the event that the strike would end and school could resume on Monday, the District will provide that information by e-mail blast, an announcement on our website, via our automated phone message, and on our Facebook page.
On behalf of Dixon Public Schools, we thank you for your patience in getting this set up.  Please contact an elementary school or the district office if you have any questions.
