Treasurer’s Report:  Start up cash has been paid out to all teachers.  Balance as of 9/20/10:  $20,223.45

 New Business:

Head Room Parents:  Jefferson still needs two head room parents and Lincoln needs lots of volunteers to help with parties and other things at Lincoln.

Halloween Parties:  Representatives are receiving complaints about party times.  It is note that PTO is not  in charge of parties or has anything to do with the times of Parties.  PTO assists teachers in getting room parents and volunteers.

Spirit Wear:  Order forms go out next Wed. and will be due October 13, 2010

Pictures:  September 23, 2010 at all elementary buildings.  Children must have money at time of pictures to order.

Teachers’ Luncheon:  October 7, 2010 at all school.  Social Committee volunteers  to provide extras for luncheon.

Fall Fundraiser:  Choices presented by Marcie Piller were:  coffee, butterbraids, cookie dough, dry mix and pre-made, and candy.  A vote was called for objections to combining the coffee and dry cookie mix.  There were no objections, so it was decided coffee and dry cookie to sell at same time in all buildings.  Fundraiser will start on Oct. 13th and end on Oct. 27th.  All orders will be due on Oct. 29th.

Teachers’ Request:

Washington School has requested money for students’ field trips:

Kindergarten:  $1077.00 for Niabi Zoo

First Grade:  $734.40 for Distinctive Garden and Lowell Park

Karri Brauman requested $50 for the Veteran’s day Program at Lincoln School.  Voted on and approved.

Next PTO Meeting:  October 18, 2010

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
