The Donaldson Foundation announced today a grant of $10,800 to Illinois’ Dixon Public Schools to purchase 30 new computers and two servers to further implement Measurement of Academic Progress (MAP) testing at the Dixon High School.

“We greatly appreciate the generous financial support Donaldson has given our school district for many years,” said Michael Juenger, superintendent of Dixon Public School.  “It has been said that ‘It takes a community to raise a child.’ Dixon Public Schools are very fortunate to have the Donaldson Foundation as part of that community.”

Located in Lee County, Illinois, the Dixon Public School District educates approximately 2,900 students (2010-2011) in three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.  Dixon High School, the largest school in the district, instructs approximately 1,000 students.
“The Foundation’s mission is to positively impact the communities in which our employees live and work by supporting education,” said Kristine Graham, president of the Donaldson Foundation.  “We are pleased to provide Dixon Public Schools with funds to help improve the high school’s IT capabilities thereby allowing  teachers and staff to more effectively educate students.”

In 2010, Donaldson grated funds to the Dixon Public School District to set up an interactive classroom with a Smart Board and projector.
Established in 1966, the Donaldson Foundation funds charitable causes on behalf of Donaldson Company, Inc. Since 1991, the Foundation has contributed 2% of the company’s U.S. earnings each year, making it a Minnesota Keystone participant. Its mission is to positively impact the communities in which its employees live and work by supporting education.
