DHS Girls Bowlers Win Sectional

The DHS girls' bowling team took 1st place honors at the Rock Island Sectional last Saturday 2/6 to advance to the state tournament.  Defeating an 18 team field the Duchesses knocked down 5483 pins to defeat the Rock Island team who had 5449 pins.  Both teams will advance to state.

Aireal Cook took 3rd place honors by bowling a 1203 six game series. Aireal and her teammates, Katie Kleinmaier, Skyla Strum, Gina Romero, Autumn Day, and Samantha Bay, will be bowling for state honors on Friday, February 12th in Rockford.  The top 12 teams will then advance to Saturday's final round.  Good Luck Duchesses!
