Thought for the Day: It’s not how many hours you put in, but what you put into the hours.

1. The PSAT test will be given Tuesday, October 12th at the Loveland Community Building. Juniors may sign up in the Guidance Office and pay the $16 fee.

2. The Wendy’s High School Heisman Award honors male and female seniors who have at least a B average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. Apply online at www.wendysheisman.com no later that October 2nd.

3. Any freshman girl interested in trying out for Dixon Fusion Fastpitch Softball team please stop by athletic office for information.

4. This is the last week Homecoming tickets will be on sale. There will be no ticket sales the week of Homecoming. The Homecoming Dance will be October 8th. Under no circumstances will there be any tickets sold at the door. Repeat, no tickets sold at the door! If you have an out of school or out of town guest, you must get a Dance Guest Pass. You can pick the guest pass up when you buy your ticket or you can find it online at the school’s website. It must be turned into the office the Monday of Homecoming week. If it isn’t handed in, the guest will not be allowed to go. The dance is from 8:00 until 11:00 with the doors opening at 7:30. All students and guests must have id’s. All students and guests must be to the dance by 9:00 or they will not be allowed in. Once you leave, you will not be allowed back into the dance. The announcement of the Homecoming court will be approximately 9:15. Dance rules will be the same as prom – no grinding, front to back, or dirty dancing. Students who do not adhere to these guidelines will be asked to leave.

5. Students, Wednesday is the last day to nominate your classmates to be on the Homecoming Court. Sign-up sheets are in the main office. Please be sure not to sign up someone who is already on the list.

6. Senior servant sign up is in room 305. You can only sign up before or after school. There is a limited number students allowed to be servants.

7. Do you think your team has what it takes to be champs! The Annual Homecoming Dodgeball Tournament will be Monday October 3rd at 6:00. There is no fee to be in this tournament. Sign up in room 305 before or after school. There is a limit of 16 teams.

8. Sign up for pep assembly games in the main office. You may only sign up for one game. At this time the games are: relay race, pack the car, ninja wars, and tug-of-war.

9. The Homecoming parade and bonfire have been changed. The events will now take place on Wednesday instead of Thursday evening. The start time for the parade is 7:30 with the bonfire to follow.

10.LONDON TRIP: The informational meeting for the Spring Break trip to England has been moved from Monday to Tuesday at 7PM in the DHS cafeteria. If you are interested and cannot make the meeting, see Mr. Padilla in Room 405 for a trip packet. Interested travelers should be signed up by September 30; the price may go up after October 1.
