1. There is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Friday, October 28. Prizes will be awarded to winners. It will be a fun night. See Mr. Mead in room 203 to sign up or if you have any questions.

2. There is a scholarship for a senior girl who has at least a 3.0 gpa and is active in school and the community. See Mrs. Ebert in the Guidance Office. The deadline is Friday, October 21.

3. Attention Tennis Girls – Equipment (warm-ups), saver cards and money MUST be turned in asap to Mrs. Bailey in the Athletic office. If you ordered a sweatshirt, stop by the office after school to pick it up.

4. Attention Dixon Pride Team – There will be a meeting at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday in room 120.

5. There will be open gym this week for boy’s basketball. Check the calendars posted in the halls.

6. Beginning Tuesday and continuing through next Friday, BLIND is sponsoring a shoe drive to help deliver shoes to needy people in Africa. Please bring new or used shoes to your sixth hour class. They will be collected by BLIND leaders, and then the shoes will be donated to the shoe drive that is being coordinated by Sterling High School and GPA. The sixth hour classroom that collects the most shoes over the course of next week will be given a pizza party for winning. The 2nd place class will get cookies! Please participate by bringing in any used or a new pair of shoes. Support BLIND!! Please wear your BLIND t-shirt on Thursdays at DHS! Thanks!

7. Scholastic bowl team practice will now be held on Tuesday at 3PM, not Wednesday as previously announced. See Mr. Padilla with questions.
