Thought for the Day: Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

1. Student Council is sponsoring our annual Mitten Tree which is located in the cafeteria. You may donate any new or lightly used mittens, scarves, or stocking hats until Friday.

2. Seniors – Pay close attention to due dates on applications and scholarships. Please allow time for transcripts and recommendations to be prepared.

3. Students who owe more than $4 in the cafeteria will not be allowed to eat until they pay their balance.

4. The Choir Department will present its annual Holiday Concert, on Thursday, December 15th, at 7pm. This year will be our 6th year collecting Toys for Tots. There will be a donation barrel in the main office till the time of the concert.

5. The Library will be closed Friday, December 16th all day for renovation. All overdue library books must be returned for students to attend the Winter Formal.

6. Congratulations to Mrs. Hansen’s 6th period class for no tardies last week. Teachers, remember to let Mr. Tennyson know if you have a class with no tardies.

7. There is an application for a scholarship for a senior who has an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, plans to attend a four-year accredited academic institution, is a U.S. citizen and has a household income no greater than $70,000. Applications are available online at www.greenhousescholars.org .

8. The Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation will offer a scholarship to seniors, pursuing a major in agriculture or agricultural-related field of study. Applications are available in the G.O. or online at www.leecfb.org .

9. The Sara Elizabeth Stubblefield Memorial Scholarship will provide financial support for the pursuit of higher education to a student living with epilepsy. The applicant must be under a physician's care. Applications are in the G.O.

10.The ARC of Lee County is offering a scholarship to seniors who will be entering a field related to people with disabilities. Apps are in the G.O.

11. Students who took the PSAT/NMSQT can pick up their scores in the GO.
