Thought for the Day: Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

1. There is a scholarship for a senior who has an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, plans to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. Go to www.greenhousescholars.org for more information.

2. LONDON FOR SPRING BREAK: Any students wishing to join the trip to London over Spring Break, please see Mr. Padilla in Room 405 as soon as possible for information.

3. The next Parent Academy will be offered for parents of DHS and RMS students on Tuesday, January 3rd at 6:30 P.M. in the DHS auditorium. The presentation will be titled " WHAT YOUR KIDS KNOW ABOUT DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE THAT YOU DON'T". It is sponsored by the Lee County Juvenile Justice Council and The Dixon Pride Team. The two main presenters will be from Sinnissippi Centers and LSSI and it should be an excellent presentation. There will be a student panel and a panel of local experts.

4. The Leo Club is holding a used eyeglass collection. Please drop your used glasses in the collection box in the main office. Glasses will be used to provide people throughout the world corrective eyeglasses. The Leo Club and Lions Club thank you.

5. There will be Open Gym for all girls interested in playing softball on Sunday from 3:30–5:30 p.m.

6. The Sophomore girl’s basketball game on Saturday against Kaneland at DHS will start at 4:30 p.m.

The Sophomore boy’s basketball game will start at 5:30 tonight.

Wrestlers can pick up their pizza orders tonight at 5:00 in the cafeteria.
