Thought for the Day: Life is made up of opportunities and excuses. You either take them or make them.

1. The next Parent Academy will be offered for parents of DHS and RMS students on Tuesday, January 3rd at 6:30 P.M. in the DHS auditorium. The presentation will be titled " WHAT YOUR KIDS KNOW ABOUT DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE THAT YOU DON'T". It is sponsored by the Lee County Juvenile Justice Council and The Dixon Pride Team. The two main presenters will be from Sinnissippi Centers and LSSI and it should be an excellent presentation. There will be a student panel and a panel of local experts.

2. The Leo Club is holding a used eyeglass collection. Please drop your used glasses in the collection box in the main office. Glasses will be used to provide people throughout the world corrective eyeglasses. The Leo Club and Lions Club thank you.

3. The next Student Council meeting will be Wednesday, January 11th. There will     NOT be a meeting the day we get back from Winter Break.
