Thought for the Day: You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

1. The next Student Council meeting will be Wednesday, January 11th.

2. Check the Lost & Found in the main office. All unclaimed items will be taken to the Leydig Center January 13th.

3. There will be open gym for baseball players on Sunday from noon to 2:00.

4. There will be no BLIND meeting next Thursday. BLIND will begin meetings on January 19th.

5. KSB Hospital is offering scholarships for seniors who are entering a program related to health care. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

6. During finals, if you have a study hall you are to report to the cafeteria during that period. Community Service and monitors are to report to their assigned duties also.

7. Attention Peer Jurors – There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, January 12th at 2:20 p.m. in the auditorium. All current jurors must attend.

8. There will be open gym for softball players on Sunday from 3:30 -5:30.

9. The Dixon Pride Store is running a sale on all t-shirts both cotton and dry fit and all sweatshirts through the month of January. Get your Dixon Pride gear for all the games and for our purple pride Fridays. T-shirts will be $2 off and sweatshirts will be $3 off through the entire month. The store is open each day during lunch, so stop in and stock up on your Dixon Pride clothing. There are lots of styles and sizes available. That means you can get short sleeve shirts for as low as $6 and dry fit shirts for as low as $13. Sweatshirts will be only $18. Come in soon while the selection is the biggest!

10 Jazz Choir auditions will be Jan. 17 & 18.This group meets Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4pm, and is open to all DHS students. If you are interested, stop by the choir room to pick up the audition song and information, and to sign up for an audition time. See Mrs. Ewers for questions.
