Thought for the Day: Some minds are like concrete – all mixed up and permanently set.

1.The Key Club meeting this Friday has been cancelled. The next meeting will be Friday, January 20th.

2. Check the Lost & Found in the main office. All unclaimed items will be taken to the Leydig Center January 13th.

3. There will be no BLIND meeting on Thursday. Meetings will begin January 19th.

4. During finals, if you have a study hall you are to report to the cafeteria during that period. Community Service and monitors are to report to their assigned duties.

5. Attention Peer Jurors – There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, January 12th at 2:20 p.m. in the auditorium. All current jurors must attend.

6. The Dixon Pride Store is running a sale all this month. The store is open each day during lunch, so stop in and stock up on your Dixon Pride clothing.

7. Jazz Choir auditions will be Jan. 17 & 18.This group meets Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4pm, and is open to all DHS students. If you are interested, stop by the choir room to pick up the audition song and information, and to sign up for an audition time. See Mrs. Ewers for questions.

8. Community Service essays are due Friday.

9. Girls Track will begin practice January 17th.

10.Do you like to play Dodgeball? Student Council and Key Club will be hosting a Dodgeball Tournament Tuesday, January 24th. The cost is $50 per team. The deadline to sign up with Mr. Eddy (305) is Wednesday, January 18th. All proceeds will go to Mrs. Frye’s family for medical expenses.

11.The Winter MAP Testing will take place for all freshmen and sophomores during their Social Studies classes from Wednesday, January 18-Monday, January 23. There are some students who will take the test at another time, so please check the schedule outside the main office.
