1.The Key Club meeting this Friday has been cancelled. The next meeting will be Friday, January 20th.

2. Check the Lost & Found in the main office. All unclaimed items will be taken to the Leydig Center January 13th.

3. During finals, if you have a study hall you are to report to the cafeteria during that period. Community Service and monitors are to report to their assigned duties.

4. The Dixon Pride Store is running a sale all this month. The store is open each day during lunch, so stop in and stock up on your Dixon Pride clothing.

5. Auditions for this coming semester's Jazz Choir are Tuesday and Wednesday! This group is open to ALL DHS students. Stop by the choir room for the audition song and to sign up for a time. Jazz Choir meets Mondays and Thursdays after school, from 2:45-4pm. See Mrs. Ewers if you have any questions. 

6. Community Service essays are due Friday.

7. Girls Track practice will begin January 17th at 4:00. Girls should report to study tables prior to practice.

8. Dodgeball? Student Council and Key Club will be hosting a Dodgeball Tournament Tuesday, January 24th. The cost is $50 per team. The deadline to sign up with Mr. Eddy (305) is Wednesday, January 18th. All proceeds will go to Mrs. Frye’s family for medical expenses. 

9. The Winter MAP Testing will take place for all freshmen and sophomores during their Social Studies classes from Wednesday, January 18-Monday, January 23. There are some students who will take the test at another time, so please check the schedule outside the main office.

10.A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a senior who is pursuing a business related field within the state of Illinois. Preference will be given to students attending the University of Illinois. Applications are available in the GO and are due by March 9, 2012.

12.There will be open gym for softball this Sunday from 3:30-5:30 in the new gym.
