Thought for the Day: Tact is the ability to close your mouth before somebody else wants to.

1. There will be a Peer Jury meeting on Thursday, January 26th at 11:10 a.m. in the auditorium.

2. SCHOLASTIC BOWL: Fresh/soph members of the scho-bowl team are reminded of the Sterling tournament this Saturday. The bus will leave DHS at 8:10 AM.

3. Juniors - Please meet in the auditorium on Friday morning during first hour. We will go over registration information and prepare you to pick your courses for your senior year.

4. There are two new scholarships – both are due April 15, 2012 and are available online or the G.O.- Dolph and Karen Ricks Family Scholarship - A $500 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded to three DHS seniors upon enrollment in an accredited college or university. The student must have been a Reagan Middle School Graduate, earned a 2.0 or higher GPA in high school, and been active in school, community activities, and church. Special consideration will be given to Education majors and students who worked as corn detasselers. The Ake L. Dahlquist Memorial Scholarship - To honor the memory of Ake L. Dahlquist, one $1500 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has earned at least a 2.5 GPA and plans to major in Engineering or Business Administration at a four year accredited university.

5. The honor roll has been posted outside the main office. If you have any questions, see your counselor today. It will be sent to the newspaper Friday.


TODAY

The Counseling Office will host a Financial Aid presentation tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the DHS cafeteria for students and parents.
