Thought for the Day: Learn to forgive, you can never be happy with bitterness.

1. Seniors - Be sure to get your exam exemptions turned in to your counselor by December 9th at 11:00 a.m.  THIS IS THE ONLY COPY YOU WILL RECEIVE. If you don't turn it in on time you will not be able to use them this semester.

2. The Leo Club has a used eyeglasses, hearing aids and keys recycling box in the office. Please bring your recyclable items in.

3. Juniors who took the PSAT can pick up their test results in the Guidance Office.

4. Hey DHS - It's here now! And in time for Christmas! The Grand Opening for the Dixon High School Store is Tuesday, December 8th from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The store will remain open on Tuesday and Thursday during those hours for the school year. There will be short and long-sleeved T-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies and more. We even have Nike Brand Dri-fit items, too. So spread the spirit and pride by buying purple and white for your friends, family and yourself! Christmas is just around the corner! Hey DHS, what's your color!

5. Ticket sales for the Winter Semi-Formal will start next week. They will be on sale before and after school and during lunch. Tickets are $5 each, or $8 for a couple. No out of town guests will be allowed to attend this dance and eligibility will be run this Friday. If you are enrolled in 7 classes, you must be passing 5, enrolled in 5 classes, passing 4, and 4 classes passing 3. Any questions, see an administrator.

6. There will be a National Honor Society meeting at 7:20 a.m. on Monday in room 100.

7. There is a scholarship for a senior who will be continuing their education in engineering. Forms are in the G.O.

8. There will be a BLIND meeting in Miss Miller's room on Monday, December 7th at 2:20 p.m.

9. Congratulations to two of our music students who participated at the district level and have been accepted to the state level! Elizabeth Mayer on clarinet for band and Chantelle Chamberlain as a soprano in the All-State Choir. Superior Ladies! Thank you for representing DHS at such a high level of professionalism when you attend the state convention in January.
