Thought for the Day: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.

1. Seniors – Be sure to check the Dixon High School website for scholarships regularly. Pay close attention to due dates and remember to allow time for recommendations and transcripts to be prepared.

2. AP students need to pay their exam fee of $87 by Friday, the 16th. Checks are to be made out to Dixon High School and given to Mrs. Loescher.

3. There is a job posted in the Guidance Office for restaurant work.

4. Your DHS library has purchased Barron's Test Prep manual for AP Statistics and AP Calculus. Stop in and check it out!

5. Any student interested in attending the 2012 Rotary Youth Leadership Conference on May 4th, 5th , and 6th should pick up an application in the GO. Applications are due back to the GO by Monday, March 19th. All fees for the conference are paid by the Dixon Rotary Club.

6. Now that the weather is getting warmer, students are reminded of the dress code for DHS. Halter tops, one shoulder tops, spaghetti strap tops, and strapless tops are not allowed. Shorts must have an inseam of at least 3 inches. No undergarments may be showing at any time. Refer to your student handbook for the complete DHS Dress Code.

7. Eligibility for Prom will be run Thursday, March 22nd. You must be passing 5 classes to attend Prom.

The choir department will hold its Mid-Winter Concert tonight at 7pm in the auditorium.

Please set your recycling out at this time.

REMINDER TO JAZZ CHOIR: YOUR DRESS REHEARSAL IS RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL - MEET MRS. EWERS ON STAGE ABOUT 2:30 AND SHE'LL HAVE YOU OUT BEFORE 3PM. WE NEED EVERYONE AND ON TIME!!!
