Thought for the Day: Everyone smiles in the same language.

1. If you are bringing an out of town guest to Prom, the sheet must be turned in by this Friday! And, if you are not attending Post-Prom, that slip is also due Friday.

2. Order your 2012 yearbook as soon as possible! This year the yearbook will be delivered before the end of the school year. See Mrs. Bally to place your order or for more information. Numbers are limited. Don't miss your chance to own a Dixon High School 2012 yearbook.

3. Heads up to all potential Mr. School participants. The Mr. School competition is next month. Sign up information will be coming soon!  Sauk Valley Cleaners will be donating tuxedos again for this year's event!

4. Seniors – Sauk Valley College will be at DHS on Tuesday, May 1st to register students for next year. You must sign up for an appointment in the G.O.

5. Freshmen – T-shirt orders are due to Alex Helander, Matt Sanders or Allison Newman by April 20th.

6. Freshmen – Class ring orders will be taken Tuesday, April 17th from 11:00–6:00 p.m.  in the cafeteria.

7. Water Walk T-shirt money is due to Katie Demko by Friday.

8. BLIND Asset of the Week: # 34: Cultural Competence: A young person has knowledge of and comfort with people of different cultural, racial, or ethnic backgrounds.  Learn more about the Assets program on the bulletin board by Mr. Clark's room, or come to the BLIND meetings Thursday at 7:15 in Room 405!

9. The Rockford Icehogs are having an ACS Relay For Life Kick-off on Friday, April 13th. They are donating $5.00 for each ticket purchased to the Relay Team who sells tickets. If anyone is interested in attending the game on Friday night, please see Linda Loescher for information so that the "DHS Duke Out Cancer " team can benefit from the ticket sales.

10.Seniors – All local scholarships are due in the Guidance Office by 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 16th.


TODAY
There will be a detasseling meeting in the cafeteria at Reagan today at 5:30 for Mr. Ricks and Mr. Randick. Please bring your application. If you cannot attend this meeting there will be another one on Wednesday, April 18th at 5:30. If you are under the age of 18 your parent must also attend this meeting.
