Thought for the Day: You may be the bright spot in someone’s day today.

1. Students & Staff - Friday we will be on an adjusted schedule for an assembly 4th period. The assembly will be outside on the football field and it is supposed to be cold. Please dress appropriately!

2. PARIS SPRING BREAK: See Mr. Padilla if you are interested in traveling to Paris, France in 2013. Sign up before April 30th and get a $100 discount!

3. Seniors – Sauk Valley College will be at DHS on Tuesday, May 1st to register students for next year. You must sign up for an appointment in the G.O.

4. Summer School will be offered June 1 through June 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If enough students sign up, classes will be offered in Algebra 1, English and APEX classes. The cost is $110.00 per class. There will be no waiver of fees. Money must be turned in with applications. Forms are in the Guidance Office.

5. Volleyball open gym has been cancelled for this Sunday, 4/29. Volleyball Camp brochures will be available next week. Any high school player will receive $10 off of their spirit pack if they attend all four days of camp.

6. Attention all hungry students – Donate blood Friday, May 4th and get a free Subway sandwich! Sign up before May 2nd in the nurse’s office. You will not be able to sign up the day of the drive. We need all the donors we can get.

7. A reminder to all who will be attending Prom – Be at the old gym by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Also, table assignments are posted outside the Band Room.

8. This Week's BLIND Asset: # 5: Caring School Climate: Your school's teachers, counselors, administration and staff show a genuine concern for the well-being of the students. Find out more about the BLIND/Assets program on the bulletin board by Mr. Clark's room or come to the BLIND meeting every Thursday at 7:15 a.m.

9. Attention AP students – If you plan to take an AP test, there is a mandatory meeting in the cafeteria 6th & 7th hours on Tuesday, May 1. You must attend this meeting.
