Thought for the Day: Sometimes your attitude speaks so loudly no one can hear what you say.

1. Attention Football Players – Lifting will return to the normal time, which is 2:35 p.m. If you are not out for a winter sport and not training for track or baseball, it is mandatory that you lift.

2. Attention all students interested in crew for the Wizard of Oz – The first crew meeting will be this Saturday, January 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Crew packets and permission slips will be available at the meeting.

3. Any student who was on the Honor Roll can pick up one free Rockford IceHogs ticket in the Guidance Office.

4. Girls soccer players will meet at 2:20 p.m. on Monday in the new gym.

5. Girls – Please bring in your gently used homecoming and prom dresses for the Second Look Prom and Homecoming Dress Sale on February 27th. Mrs. Hermes will be accepting your donations.

6. Attention 2011 Juniors! Orders may be placed for our very own “purple storm” t- shirts. Contact your junior class officers if you are interested. Show your class spirit by purchasing one! Remember – The storm is on the horizon!

7. Hey DHS! – Wednesday, January 27th is Purple Pride Night in the Pit. We will be honoring our senior wrestlers as they take on Sterling. The meet starts at 5:30 p.m. See you there!

8. Attention students who are eligible for National Honor Society - National Honor Society applications must be completed and returned to the Guidance Office by 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 29th – NO EXCEPTIONS. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. Applications are also available online at the HS website and can be completed online, printed and returned to the Guidance Office.
