Thought for the Day: If you think you have no faults, that makes one more.

1. Attention Peer Jurors – The next hearing is scheduled for Sunday, February 28th. Please sign up in the Guidance Office. You should plan to be at the Police Dept. by 5:00 p.m.

2. Attention NEXT year’s Juniors and Seniors – DHS will be offering a Building Trades class next school year. Come see what a residential construction job is all about. See Mr. Zimmerman in room in room 114.

3. Attention all boys going out for baseball – The 1st day of practice will be Monday, March 1. You will need to have a parent consent form, physical and fees turned into the A.D.’s office before then. Also, there is a mandatory Spring Sportsmeeting on Wednesday, February 24. If you have already participated in a sport at DHS this year, you need not attend. Any questions, see Coach Crawford or Coach Burgess.

4. Anyone interested in being a manager for boys track, see Coach Luther.

5. Sophomores – See Sierra Wiseman or Josie Willett for an order form for your class of 2012 t-shirt.

6. Anyone interested in participating in the Variety Show can pick up a form in the main office. All forms are due March 5th in the office or to a class officer.

7. Seniors – T-shirt order forms & money are due Wednesday, February 24th.

8. Pick up Girls’ Slow-Pitch and Dixon Roller Hockey forms in the A.D.’s office.

9. Black History Month Contest entries are due Wednesday to Ms. Fort or Mr. Stanley.

10.February Scholastic Book Orders are available until February 26th. Forms can be picked up in the library. Orders are now able to be placed online. Many new and popular books are being offered.

11.Congratulations to Adam Thrasher and Cassie Lopez, winners of the Dixon Pride Award this week. Remember to nominate students or staff you think go above and beyond for DHS.

12.Students will only be allowed to charge 3 lunches in the cafeteria from now on. You cannot charge any items in the snack bar, fries, or water. If you have an outstanding balance please pay either Mrs. Loescher or when you go through the lunch lines.Remember if you owe more than $5.25 you will not be allowed to eat in the cafeteria. You will have to bring lunch from home.

13.Petunia Festival Royalty applications are due Friday.

14.Congratulations to the DHS Girl’s Bowling Team for placing 8th at State and to Katie Kleinmaier for placing 13th for individual scores.

15.Congratulations to DHS Wrestlers for placing 3rd at Sectionals! Good luck to George Canales as he competes at State this weekend.

16.The Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team competed in the NCIC tournament on Saturday at Rock Falls. The team tied for 2nd in the Reagan Division. Congratulations to William Moser and Joey Hammitt who were both named to the All-Conference team, Reagan Division.

17.Math Team members – We will meet Wednesday after school.

Scholastic Bowl members are reminded to be at the cafeteria lot at 5:30 tonight for the Sterling Public Library Tournament. We will return around 9:00 p.m.

There will be soccer open gym today and Thursday at 5:00 at the high school.
