1. Attention Peer Jurors – Sign up for the next hearing in the G.O.

2. Anyone interested in being a manager for boys track, see Coach Luther.

3. If you are interested in participating in the Variety Show you can pick up a form in the main office. All forms are due March 5th in the office or to a class officer.

4. Seniors – T-shirt order forms & money are due Wednesday, February 24th.

5. February Scholastic Book Orders are available in the library until February 26th.

6. The Phidian Art Club is offering a scholarship for a senior who shows excellence in the arts (music, literature, arts) and will be continuing their education in an art field. Applications are in the Guidance Office and the deadline is April 1, 2010.

7. Sophomores – Money for 2012 t-shirts is due to Josie or Sierra by next Friday.

8. Congratulations to Kate Kleinmaier for being named to the IHSA All State Academic Team. Kate was one of twenty-six students from across the entire state selected for this honor. Congratulations on being one of the best and brightest students in Illinois.

9. The American Cancer Society will have an informational meeting for Relay for Life on Monday, March 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the DHS cafeteria.

10.Juniors – Want to be part of a great program? ICO might be for you. If you currently have a job or can get a job for next school year, you can be a part of the ICO program. ICO can even find a job for you. Release time can be provided during the school day for on the job training at a place of employment. For more information and an application, see Mr. Eddy or your counselor.

11.It is time to vote for the Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award. If you have read at least 4 books from the list, then place your vote in the DHS library. Your vote counts!

12.Boys and girls Soccer players need to turn fundraiser money or coupon books in at open gym or to the A.D.’s office by Tuesday.

13.Congratulations to Tyler Hodapp and Mrs. Frye, winners of the Dixon Pride Award last week. Remember to nominate students and staff who you see go above and beyond for DHS.

14.Sauk Valley College will be hosting a FAFSA completion night on February 24th, March 3rd and March 17th. This is not just for students who are going to SVC, but for any student going to college. Call SVC Financial Aid office for more information.

All National Honor Society members are to meet in the auditorium at 5:45 p.m. tonight for induction ceremony practice.
