Congratulations William Moser! May Student of the Month!

1. Applications for summer school are in the Guidance Office. The cost is $110.00 per class. There will be no waivers for tuition. You must pay for the class when you sign up to reserve your spot.

2. Applications for detasseling are in the Guidance Office.

3. Attention All Hungry Students – Donate blood next Thursday and get a free Subway sandwich! And, you can save a life too! Sign up for the May 13th Spring Blood Drive in the Nurse’s office. You will NOT be able to sign up the day of the drive. You must sign up by May 11th. We need all the donors we can get!

4. Seniors who are a resident of Lee County and will be a full time student at a university in the fall may apply for the Lee County Republican Scholarship. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

5. Students will no longer be allowed to charge lunches in the cafeteria.

6. If you are in Student Council and running for an office, petitions are due to Mr. Eddy by Friday. Elections will be next Wednesday. It is important for all members to be there to vote.

7. Senior Leadership Award forms are available in the Guidance Office. This scholarship is open to all seniors and is due to Mr. Boll or Mr. Eddy by May 14th.

8. Attention Dixon Police Explorers – You have a meeting Monday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Police Department.

9. Congratulations to P.J. Ginn! He is the lucky individual who will throw out the first pitch at the “Battle of the Rock River” against the Oregon Hawks tomorrow! The game starts at noon at the Clinton Lumberjacks stadium in Clinton, Iowa. This will be a double-header and we are asking everyone to wear purple to show our school spirit. So come and support your Dukes in a semi-professional ball park. DHS, what’s your color?

10.Volleyball open gym will be this Sunday from 7pm-9pm. All levels welcome.

DHS is hosting the NCIC Girls Conference Track Meet today. Come out and support your Duchesses. Tickets are $3 (activity cards are not valid).
