Thought for the Day: People who are wrapped up in themselves make very small packages.

1. All cars parked at the school must be registered in the main office. You must have a sticker on your car. You will be fined if your car is not registered.

2. Picture re-takes for students and staff who haven’t had their picture taken yet, will be Thursday, September 16th, in the library.

3. Anyone interested in joining Peer Jury should see Officer LaMendola in the Guidance Office.

4. Students interested in auditioning for this year’s Jazz Choir need to stop by the choir room to get the information and sign up for a time. All DHS students are eligible to audition. Jazz Choir meets Mondays and Thursdays after school. Auditions are September 7 and 8. See Mrs. Ewers if you have any questions.

5. Friday we will be on an adjusted schedule for a pep assembly following 7th period.

6. Are you interested in being a volunteer intern in the area of politics? Candidates should be organized, competent, outgoing individuals who are eager to learn and are willing to work hard. Candidates should have a strong academic record as well as excellent communication skills. Strong candidates must work well independently and as part of a team. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car. Volunteers will be trained. See Mr. Eddy in room 305.

7. Hey Key Clubbers – The first meeting is this Friday at 7:10 a.m. in the auditorium! Come and see what we’re all about.

8. There will be a boys’ basketball meeting for any boy who is not playing a fall sport on Wednesday, September 8th after school near the gyms.

9. Students are reminded that they are not allowed to leave the football game and return (even with an activity card). Please find a seat and remain during the game.

10.Seniors who would like to talk to an admissions counselor from Augustana College on Friday at 8:30 a.m. should see Mrs. Bellows in the Guidance Office asap.
