Thought for the Day: Think twice before you speak, especially if you intend to say what you think.

1. The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered Wednesday, October 13th at the Loveland Community Building. This is a preliminary SAT and it is the first step for juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition for scholarships and recognition. All interested juniors can sign up with Mrs. Bellows and pay the $16 fee (check please) before Tuesday, October 5th. There is a limit of 50 students.

2. Freshmen – Please report directly to the auditorium on Friday at 7:50 a.m. to vote for class officers.

3. We will be having an assembly on Thursday during 2nd period. We will follow an adjusted schedule.

4. At the soccer game on Thursday against Streator, the Varsity will play first.

5. The National Honor Society will meet Monday, September 20th at 7:20 a.m. in room 127.

6. The Golf Team defeated Hall, Hinckley and Somonauk on Tuesday. Mitchell Homb was medalist. This brings their record to 8-1.

7. The Dixon Girls Tennis Team defeated Ottawa 3-2! Outstanding!

8. Attention Freshmen and Sophomores – Next week we will be MAP testing in Reading and Math. Look for your name on the list of room assignments, times and dates, which will be posted at the end of the week in front of the office. 

9. Boys Basketball Players – Turn in your ticket money and saver card money by Friday.

10.The DHS Volleyball Teams won on all levels last night at Streator. Good job girls!
