Thought for the Day: Life is like a snowstorm…you run into a lot of flakes.

1. There will be a meeting for all girls going out for basketball on Tuesday, October 26th in the gym after school. If anyone is interested in being a manager or helping with the girls program, please come to the meeting or stop by the A.D.’s office.

2. Hey everyone! If you have a B.L.I.N.D. shirt, show your support by wearing it every Thursday!

3. Seniors – Cap & gown information will be given out on Wednesday, October 27th,4th hour in the auditorium. All seniors should report to the auditorium at that time. Order day will be November 10th from 7:15 to 1:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

4. Sauk Valley College will be hosting a College Night on Tuesday, November 2nd from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Over 80 representatives from universities, colleges, technical schools and the military will be available to discuss your educational plans. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain important information.

5. Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams for winning the Regional championship held in Galesburg last Saturday. Haley Thorpe was the overall winner of the girls’ race and Simon Thorpe of the boys’ race. Both teams will compete at next Saturday’s Sectional Meet at ICC in East Peoria. Good luck!

6. Attention anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-11 cheerleading squad – Tryouts will be held this week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting at 3:00 p.m. Please stop by the A.D.’s office to pick up an information sheet. See Mrs. Fox with any questions.
