Thought for the Day: If you have to become your enemy to beat him, what have you won?

1. Sauk Valley College will be hosting a College Night on Tuesday, November 2nd from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Over 80 representatives from universities, colleges, technical schools and the military will be available to discuss your educational plans. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain important information. Students should wear college T-shirts on Tuesday!

2. The Dixon High School Relay for Life team in honor of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, is asking students and staff to wear pink on Friday, October 29th. We will also be selling pink wrist bands so you can show your support. If you know someone whose life has been affected, you can purchase a wristband for $1 from Mrs. Bennett in the nurse’s office or from Mrs. Loescher in Mr. Grady’s office or from Josie Willett. She will be in front of the main office.

3. SVC will be hosting a Softball Camp October 30 & 31. The cost is $20 per session. Registration forms are in the A.D.’s office.

4. Attention Boy’s Soccer – Please remember to turn in your banquet money and reservations to the A.D.’s office. Also, please remember to get $4 to one of your captains by Friday. Thanks!

5. There is crew today and Friday after school. Please come and help if you can – it will be greatly appreciated!

6. Attention Football Players – If you have equipment to turn in, you can do it on Monday from 2:30-3:00 and Tuesday from 3:05-3:30. Also, if you are planning to attend the banquet on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. and you have not turned in your money, you must turn it in to Coach Luther in room 212 no later than 2:30 on Tuesday. The cost is $3 per person and players are free.

7. Attention sophomore football players – Please turn in $5 to the sophomore captains (John Thomas or Cameron Hicks).

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
