Thought for the Day: Don’t let success go to your head or failure to your heart.

1. Sauk Valley College will be hosting a College Night on Tuesday, November 2nd from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Over 80 representatives from universities, colleges, technical schools and the military will be available to discuss your educational plans. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain important information. Students should wear college T-shirts on Tuesday!

2. SVC will be hosting a Softball Camp October 30 & 31. The cost is $20 per session. Registration forms are in the A.D.’s office.

3. Attention Football Players – If you have equipment to turn in, you can do it on Monday from 2:30-3:00 and Tuesday from 3:05-3:30. Also, if you are planning to attend the banquet on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. and you have not turned in your money, you must turn it in to Coach Luther in room 212 no later than 2:30 on Tuesday. The cost is $3 per person and players are free.

4. Attention sophomore football players – Please turn in $5 to the sophomore captains (John Thomas or Cameron Hicks).

5. A representative of Western Illinois University will be in the Guidance Office on Monday at 9:00. Interested seniors should see Mrs. Bellows.

6. Tennis Girls – Please turn in your number of people attending the tennis banquet, your tennis uniform and your saver cards to Mrs. Bailey in the A.D.’s office.

7. Congratulations to Valbona Bajrami, Tanner Meyer-Wright, Mitch Reuter and Michael Ricks for winning the Sauk Valley Titan competition at SVC. Congratulations to all competitors. Only 2 points separated the first and second place teams. Valbona, Tanner, Mitch and Michael will advance to the scholarship round on November 17th, working toward earning the $1000 each for their college expenses.

8. Any boy interested in participating in Track this spring – There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd at 2:30 in the west balcony. Even if you are participating in a winter sport, please attend.

Boy’s Soccer –turn in your banquet money and reservations to the A.D.’s office today and $4 to one of the captains.
