Thought for the Day: Don’t wrestle with pigs. You both end up dirty and the pigs like it.

1. Attention Seniors – Please bring your deposit and place your orders for your official graduation announcements on Wednesday, November 10th from 7:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. This is the ONLY day orders can be turned in at school. If you miss it, you will need to mail your order to the address on the order form.

2. Whiteside Area Vocational Center will be hosting an open house for students and parents on Wednesday, November 10th from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

3. Attention all students who signed up to be peer jurors – If you have not already been to the training, please plan to attend Sunday, November 21st at 10:00 a.m. at the Dixon Police Department. Any questions, see Officer LaMendola.

4. Leo Club is having their annual t-shirt design contest. The prize of your design being picked is $50. Please turn in your design to Abbey Dempsey, Alicia Brown or the office. The deadline is November 17th.

5. Congratulations to Mrs. Oberg and Zach Payne, winners of the Culver’s Dixon Pride Award for last week. Remember to nominate those you see go above and beyond for DHS.

6. BLIND Leaders – Don’t forget to turn in your t-shirt form and check to Mr. Padilla in room 405 asap. If you are an upperclassman and have not received a form, see Mr. Padilla. The BLIND meeting schedule is posted outside Mr. Padilla’s room. The BLIND executive committee and the freshman leaders will meet Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. in room 405.

7. Attention Volleyball Girls – Don’t forget the banquet Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

8. Congratulations to Mrs. Guenther’s 6th period class for having no tardies last week. Teachers – remember to let Mr. Tennyson know on Friday if you have a class with no tardies during the week.

9. The Student of the Month Selection Committee will meet Wednesday at 7:20 a.m. in room 100.

10.Attention Key Clubbers – On Wednesday we will be working on the showcase by the cafeteria after school. Hope to see you there!

11.Just a reminder – No School on Thursday in honor of Veteran’s Day.
