Thought for the Day: Watch your habits - they become your character.

1. Eligibility will be done for the Winter Formal on Thursday, December 9th. Students must be passing 5 classes to be eligible to attend. Tickets will go on sale December 13th. There are no out of town guests allowed at the Winter Formal.

2. All male track athletes NOT out for a winter sport, there will be a meeting on Monday, December 6th in room 212 (Coach Luther's room) right after school. Also, any other individuals who are interested in track and are not out for a winter sport are welcome.

3. The Rock River Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is offering a scholarship for a student who will be entering the field of engineering. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

4. Congratulations to Ashley Wolfe, Regan Rice and Mrs. Anderson who are the recipients of the Culver’s Dixon Pride Spirit Award this week. Remember to nominate students and staff you see go above and beyond for DHS.

5. The Dixon Pride Spirit Shop will be open Monday and Wednesday after school during December for all your holiday shopping needs. It will also be open during the choral and band concerts on Sunday, December 12th.

6. Juniors should meet in the auditorium on Thursday, December 9th at 7:45 a.m. to receive results of the PLAN test. Sophomores will meet Friday at 7:45 a.m. to receive their PLAN results.

7. Tuesday - Varsity boys basketball practice will be 5:00-7:00 in the old gym. Freshman and sophomore practice will be 7:00-8:30 in the old gym.

8. Congratulations to Mrs. Owens’ 3rd period class for having no tardies last week! Teachers, remember to let Mr. Tennyson know on Friday afternoon if you have a class that had no tardies during the week.

9. Juniors who took the PSAT test in October can pick up their scores in the Guidance Office.

10.Scholastic Bowl Team: There will be NO practice today. Tomorrow's match is at DHS. Team members should be here by 4PM. See Mr. Padilla tomorrow if you have questions.
