Thought for the Day: Never grow a wishbone where your backbone ought to be.

1. The Jerry Mitchell Scholarship is available to seniors who will be attending an Illinois state-supported university (Western, Northern, U of I, etc.). Applications are in the Guidance Office.

2. Student Council is sponsoring our annual Mitten Tree. It is located in the cafeteria. You may donate any new or lightly used mittens, scarves, or stocking hats. All donations will go to people in the Dixon area who are in need of these items this winter season. You can give all the way up to December 17th. Prizes can be won if you donate. See Mr. Eddy for these details.

3. If you have lost something, check out the Lost & Found in the main office asap. All unclaimed items will be taken to the Leydig Center before Christmas.

4. The Illinois AMVETS are offering scholarships to seniors who are the child or grandchild of a veteran. Go to www.ilamvets.org for more information.
