1. If you are interested in performing in the 2011 DHS Variety Show, pick up a form in the main office.

2. The High School Concert Band will perform a winter concert in the auditorium this Sunday, February, 13th at 2:00 p.m. There will be a wide variety of styles from the music of Coldplay, Journey, and Owl City to sailing songs and Louisiana Jazz. Come and hear the performance.

3. Al Morrison Baseball sign-up will be Saturday, February 12th and Saturday, February 26th from 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at the Loveland Community Building. Registration forms are available at sign up or at www.almorrisonbaseball.org .

4. The DHS Class Officers are having a senior T-shirt design contest. The winner will win $50! Forms are in the main office.

6. The Rock River VietNow is offering a scholarship. Applicants must write an essay and preference is given to children or grandchildren of veterans. Applications are in the G.O.

7. The Tri-County Opportunities Council is offering a scholarship to students from low-income families. Guidelines are available in the G.O.

8. Fresh/soph members of the scholastic bowl team are to meet DHS at 6:45 a.m. Saturday to leave for the Streator NIB 12 fresh soph conference meet. Please be here on time.

TODAY (2/11)

Student Council is sponsoring Sadie Hawkins Dance tonight after the boy’s basketball game. Come enjoy fun under the black lights! The dance begins after the game, approximately 9:00 and gets over at 11:00. Tickets are sold at the door to DHS students only, sorry no out of town or out of school guests! You must have a student id to get in. Cost is $2 per person. Hope to see you there!

The Dixon Pride Committee would like to encourage a white-out at the Boys Basketball game tonight against LaSalle-Peru. Wear as much white as you can to show your support!
