Thought for the Day: You can’t change what you see, but you can change how you look at it.

1. The DHS Leo Club is having a used eyeglass collection. Please bring old eyeglasses to be recycled by the Lions Club. The glasses will be used throughout the world. Give your glasses to any Leo Club member or leave them in the main office. The Leo Club and Lions Club thank you.

2. Seniors who are in the top 10% of their class (a rank of 1- 19) are eligible for the Sauk Scholars Program. Applications are in the G.O.

3. Attention Freshmen – CPR classes will be offered Wednesday, April 6th and Monday, May 16th at 2:30 p.m. and last about 3 hours. Sign up in the G.O.

4. Math Team Competition– Congratulations to Kevin Heath for placing 2nd on the individual Algebra II test. The Junior/Senior 8 person team placed 2nd and the calculator team placed 4th. Well done!

5. Boy’s tennis will receive uniforms on Friday at 2:30 in the band room. Please bring homework to do while you are waiting. See Coach Boll if you have questions.

6. The Jazz Choir and Jazz Band will present “An Evening of Jazz” on Saturday, March 5th at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Come and hear both groups present an evening of music you are sure to enjoy. Tickets are $5 which also includes dessert with ice cream. Tickets are available from any jazz band or jazz choir member. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

7. Just a reminder- Latex balloons are NOT to be used at school. They will be removed from lockers or hallway. Mylar balloons are allowed. See Mrs. Bennett if you have any questions.

8. Dixon Pride wants you to support your fellow students this Saturday by attending the “Evening of Jazz” concert. There will be a box in the main office to place your program in with your name on it for a free Dixon Pride T-shirt. The drawing will be held Tuesday, March 8th. Come on out and enjoy some great entertainment.

9. Cheerleaders – Uniform, pom and warm-ups turn in is Wednesday. JV at 2:30 and Varsity at 2:45 in the locker room.
