Thought for the Day: When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

1. Congratulations to Chelsea Sondgeroth for signing a letter of intent to run for Eastern Illinois University! Great job Chelsea!

2. Applications for the Dixon Petunia Festival Royalty are available in the Athletic Office. Applications are due April 8th.

3. Seniors – Pay close attention to deadlines for scholarships. You must allow time for recommendations and transcripts to be prepared. Local scholarships are now available on our website

4. Detasseling applications for Mr. Ricks and Mr. Randick are available in the Guidance Office. Completed applications can be turned into the main office.

5. There are applications for Bauer Detasseling in the Guidance Office. Stop by and pick one up.

6. Prom Court nominations are currently in the main office. All nominees must attend Prom and have their tickets bought by today. Voting for King and Queen will occur the week of Prom. All nominees must attend DHS.

7. Sports physicals for the 2011-2012 season with KSB Hospital will be Wednesday, June 8th at 3:00 at Town Square Center. Mark your calendars now.

8. There is a scholarship for a boy who will be attending S.I.U Edwardsville. Applications are in the G.O.

9. Attention Freshmen and Sophomores - We will be conducting the final MAP Testing sessions starting next Tuesday, April 5 through Thursday, April 14. Please check the list of assignments posted outside the front office on Monday so you know where to report next week. Each student will test twice, once for Reading, and the other for Math, so there will be two days in which you will be assigned. Good luck!

10.Midway Drive-In is looking for summer help. Call 847-647-3124 for information.

11.Any student attending Prom that will NOT be attending Post-Prom MUST have a permission slip filled out and turned in by April 20th. Forms are available in the main office.

12.Northern Illinois University is sponsoring a Rural Health Careers Camp from June 8-10 at NIU in Dekalb. Interested freshmen, sophomores and juniors may pick up more information and an application in the Guidance Office. The deadline is April 15th.
