Congratulations Evanne Deatherage. April Student of the Month!

1. Applications for the Dixon Petunia Festival Royalty are available in the Athletic Office. Applications are due April 8th.

2. Detasseling applications for Mr. Ricks and Mr. Randick are available in the Guidance Office. Completed applications can be turned into the main office.

3. There are applications for Bauer Detasseling in the Guidance Office. Stop by and pick one up.

4. Prom Court nominations are currently in the main office. All nominees must attend Prom and have their tickets bought by today. Voting for King and Queen will occur the week of Prom. All nominees must attend DHS.

5. Midway Drive-In is looking for summer help. Call 847-647-3124 for information.

6. Any student attending Prom that will NOT be attending Post-Prom MUST have a permission slip filled out and turned in by April 20th. Forms are available in the main office.

7. Northern Illinois University is sponsoring a Rural Health Careers Camp from June 8-10 at NIU in Dekalb. Interested freshmen, sophomores and juniors may pick up more information and an application in the Guidance Office. The deadline is April 15th.

8. Friday is the last day to drop off your yellow pass in the library to complete registration for the Read for a Lifetime program.

9. On Friday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the DHS cafeteria, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing football at DHS next year. Coach Smith will be here to talk with players and parents about the upcoming football season.

10.Detasseling forms for Mr. Bach and Mr. Johnson are in the Guidance Office.

11.Congratulations to Mrs. Elmer’s 6th period class for no tardies last week. Teachers, remember to let Mr. Tennyson know if any of your classes have no tardies for the week.

12.Freshmen – There are only a few days left to order your class T-shirts. All orders are due Monday, April 11th. Extra forms are in the office and you can turn them into the bandroom, the office or your class officers.

13.Any cheerleader who did NOT attend yesterday’s meeting needs to see Coach Fox ASAP to get your fundraiser and camp information.


Today:

CPR class will start today at 2:30 p.m. in the wrestling room. It should last about 3 hours.

Library books are due on Wednesdays. Look at the stamp in the back of your book to see if it is due this week.

Sophomore baseball players are to report to the baseball field at 2:30 p.m. for practice today.
