Thought for the Day: What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.

1. Detasseling applications are available in the Guidance Office. Completed applications can be turned into the main office.

2. Midway Drive-In is looking for summer help. Call 847-647-3124 for information.

3. There is a scholarship for a senior who will be attending Sauk Valley College next year majoring in Theatre/Performing Arts or Speech/Communications. Applications are in the G.O.

4. Freshmen will meet in the auditorium Tuesday, April 12th at 7:50 a.m. to receive information on class ring ordering.

5. Congratulations to Mr. Agrimonti, Mrs. Hansen and Scott Goad, winners of the Culver’s Dixon Pride Award last week. Remember to nominate students and staff you see go above and beyond for DHS.

6. Attention Peer Jurors, we will have a hearing on 04/17/2011 at 5:00 p.m. Please come to the Guidance Office to sign up.

7. Anyone who did not attend the football meeting Friday should see Coach Luther for a summer schedule.

8. Juniors are to meet 7th period Wednesday in the cafeteria for PSAE registration.

9. Freshmen & Sophomores – We will be finishing the Math portion of MAP testing on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Please check the lists posted by the main office for your assigned time and location. Good Luck!

10.Attention Girls Soccer – Saturday’s game against Ottawa has been changed to Thursday, April 14th at DHS. Tonight’s game against Orion will be played at Sherrard. The Varsity will play first.

11.Student Council will have a meeting this Wednesday in room 117 at 7:15. Please be there as we will discuss Mr. School, next year elections, the blood drive, end of the year picnic, and topics for next year's leadership conference!

12.Who will wear the crown? The Mr. School competition is this Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00 in the auditorium. Ricky Laskowski, Tyler Newman, Ben Thornton, Nate Thornton, and Alejandro Valdes will be escorted by beautiful ladies as they answer a surprise question, show their school spirit, display a hidden talent, and new this year is a trivia portion. You won’t want to miss it!  Watch, laugh, and have a good time!  The cost is $2 with a school id and $3 without a school id. Fellas, don't forget to get fitted for your tux by this Wednesday at Sauk Valley Cleaners!
