Thought for the Day: If you wouldn’t write it and sign it, don’t say it.

1. SENIORS – Thursday, April 28th is the deadline for local scholarships. NO EXCEPTIONS!

2. PFLAG is offering a $300 scholarship for a senior who will be attending a post-secondary institution who shows direct support of the GLBT youth or community. The deadline is May 2nd.

3. All Hungry Students – Donate blood next Friday and get a free Subway sandwich and you can save a life too. Sign up for the spring blood drive today. The American Red Cross will be here Friday, May 6th. Forms are in the nurse’s office. You will NOT be able to sign up later than May 4th. We need all the donors we can get.

4. Attention Student Council members - There will be a Student Council meeting every Wednesday in May. It is important for you to be there for elections, next year's Homecoming theme, next year's leadership conference topic, and end of the year party information.

5. Students attending Prom should arrive at the Grand March by 5:30 p.m. Doors open for parents at that time. Students attending Prom are also encouraged to carpool. Directions to the Prom venue will be given at the Grand March.

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
