Thought for the Day: Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says try again tomorrow.

1. Summer School applications are available in the Guidance Office. Classes are $110.00 each and there are no waivers. Applications and money are due by May 23rd.

2. Seniors will receive their exam exemptions today. All forms must be returned by Friday, May 20th. NO EXCEPTIONS!

3. Attention all students - Backpacks and cinch sacks are not allowed in classrooms.

4. There will be a mandatory meeting for AP students and their parents on Monday, May 23rd, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Your attendance is important because this is an opportunity to learn about student expectations and summer requirements for AP courses.

5. The choir department will present its annual outdoor concert Tuesday at the band shell next to the track. There will be a cookout starting at 5:30, (you can purchase hot dog, brat, or pork chop meals that include chips, a cookie, and a bottle of water) and the concert will start at 6pm.Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy music from Cold Play, Green Day, The Beach Boys, Rascal Flatts, The Beatles, and musicals including Grease and Wicked, just to name a few!

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
