1. Students who are here at school for practices or activities to begin at 3:00 are to wait in the cafeteria until that time. Please do not wait in the athletic lobby area or other unsupervised areas in the school.

2. Detasseling applications for Mr. Ricks and Mr. Randick are available in the G.O.

3. The Quad Cities Section of the ASCE intends to offer scholarships of up to $1000 to students that enroll in a Civil Engineering curriculum at any ABET accredited engineering college or university. Applications are available in the GO. The deadline is June 1st.

4. American Red Cross will be here one more time. The blood drive will be Friday, May 10th. This is a great way to save a life! Please sign up in the nurse’s office by Wednesday, May 8th.  You will not be able to sign up to donate after this date!

5. There are detasseling forms for Mr. Johnson and Mr. Bach in the Guidance Office.

6. KWQC BROADCAST SCHOLARSHIP – KWQC is offering a scholarship to a student  accepted to or currently enrolled at a college in the broadcasting program. The student must reside in KWQC’s viewing area and must have maintained an overall GPA of 2.5. Applications are available in the GO and are due May 10th.

7. FHN HEALTHCARE CAREER SCHOLARSHIP - FHN is offering up to two $1000.00 and one $500 scholarship to a student interested or involved in pursuing specific healthcare careers. Information sheets and applications forms can be located at http://www.fhn.org/Scholarships.asp?code=SE . The deadline is Sept. 13th.

8. SIGMA PHI EPSILON FRATERNITY AT SIUE SCHOLARSHIP – Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at SIUE is offering the Balanced Man Scholarship worth $1000.00. The scholarship is for male students who will attend SIUE in the fall of 2013.Applications are in the GO. Application deadline is June 1st.

3. SPRING BREAK 2014 PARIS: Any student interested in traveling to Paris for Spring Break 2014 should see Mr. Padilla in room 405 asap. A $100 discount for signing up is good through April 30.

6. Boys Tennis players should check outside the band room door each day after period 5 for playing assignments and meet instructions.

7. Today's track meet has been moved to sterling high school. The boys and girls buses will leave at 3:00. All girls need to turn in their candy bar money to Mr. Woodward ASAP
