Reagan Cross Country Print

What a great year for the Reagan Middle School cross country team! This was the first year for cross country at RMS.  68 runners started the year with 66 finishing the season.  The team belongs to the IESA ( Illinois Elementary School Association) along with 250 other middle schools state wide.  The sectional meet was held at Maxwell Park in Normal. Where two runners qualified for the state meet.  Clara Thorpe was the lone qualifier for the girls and Simon Thorpe was the sectional champ. The state meet was held the following weekend in Normal.  27 teams and 35 individuals from around the state qualified to compete.  Simon Thorpe was the individual champ for the boys race.  He finished the 2 mile race in 10:39 seconds.  Congratulations, Simon!
