MENU Pizza Dippers w/Sauce Corn Applesauce Thought for the Day: The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work. 1. Ticket sales for the Winter Semi-Formal will be before and after school and during lunch. Tickets are $5 each, or $8 for a couple. No out of town guests will be allowed to attend this dance. Any questions, see an administrator. 2. There is a scholarship for a senior who will be continuing their education in engineering. Forms are in the G.O. 3. The Jerry Mitchell General Assembly Scholarship is now available. Seniors who will be attending a state university in Illinois may apply. Applications are in the G.O. 4. The DHS Pride Team is proud to promote the DHS Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 13th. The Band will perform at 2:00 p.m. and the Choir at 4:00 p.m. Come on out and enjoy some festive music. There will be a bake sale before and during the concert to support the Fine Arts Department and Class Officers. The Dixon Pride Team will also have their store open to help spread spirit and pride. 5. The National Honor Society will sponsoring a Winter Coat Drive Dec. 9-16. Donate new or used coats to those in need. There will be a box in the cafeteria. 6. The Twin Cities Educational Scholarship is now available for Latino students.There is one for Sauk Valley College and one for any other school. Winners' parents must be willing to assist with fundraisers for T.C.E.S. during the year. 7. Attention students who auditioned for the play - Please check the list posted on the choir room and office doors for additional times. 8. IF there is a snow day on exam days, exams will be the first day back after Winter Break (January 4, 2010). The second semester will begin January 5, 2010. 9. Attention all students - Any posters, signs or pictures placed above your lockers on the walls, will be removed. You may only decorate the locker door. 10.Second semester schedules will be distributed during 4th hour Friday. All changes must be made by Wednesday, December 16th. There will be no schedule changes during final exams. TODAY: Teachers - Please set out your recycling bins at this time. |
