Every year Lincoln School organizes a food drive to help provide food to local families in need. Students and staff were asked to reach into their hearts and their pantries and bring in non-perishable food items that were donated to the Dixon Food Pantry. When a food item was brought in for donation, an ornament (up to 5) was place on our "Giving Tree". The "Giving Tree" is a symbol of sharing from all of us here at Lincoln School. We collected 16 large boxes of non perishable items. The folks from the Dixon Food Pantry said that it was enough food to fill 48 bags of groceries.
