Every year, the Dixon city firemen visit the 1st grade classrooms to teach SAM (Safety Always Matters). On Monday, January 25th, the children got to see the firemen with all of their equipment on so that they will not be afraid of them should there be a fire in their home. They also discuss reporting an injury or fire and the importance of smoke detectors. Each child demonstrates stop, drop, and roll and makes an exit plan at home with their family. The firemen presented the safety presentation in each of the first grade students' classrooms. In the photo, Captains Callison and Fassler speak with the students.
