The gym at Lincoln School was buzzing March 23rd with science experiments.  Students and their parents were experiencing the "science" behind some classic fairy tales.  They went mining for chocolate chips like Snow White's dwarfs, constructed houses that they hoped would not be blown over by the power of a wolf's huff and puff, attempted to put Humpty Dumpty back together, tested the strength of Rapunzel's hair, and constructed towers tall enough for Jack of Jack and the Beanstalk to climb up.  There was frog origami and bags of slime!   Thanks to the elementary PTO, the Discovery Center of Rockford was able to educate and entertain with science experiments and make-and-take projects.  The students all were able to pick a free book too, which were donated by the PTO.  Everyone who attended had a great time with the light hearted look at the "science" behind some classic fairy tales.
