Lincoln School gym was buzzing with exciting hands on math activities Tuesday night. Second and third grade students and their parents were all having a great time doing MATH! Who would ever think that math could be so FUN! Students played games, explored patterns, made their own puzzle, worked with shapes, Legos, and made Origami cups and boats. There were some really challenging activities, but students (AND PARENTS) were having so much fun they didn't mind figuring out the strategies to the puzzles. A big THANK YOU to all the teacher volunteers and the High School helpers also! Keep watching throughout the school for more Family Fun Nights to be put on by the Discovery Center of Rockford. We have scheduled three more; Mission to Space, Teeny Tiny Science, and A World of Energy!!! They are all sure to put a smile on your faces!
