On Veterans Day, November 11, Americans pay special tribute to America's 25 million living veterans with a special Veterans Day program.  We honor them for exemplifying the true character of the American spirit-personal courage, love of country and devotion to duty. We thank them for sacrificing their personal aspirations and safety to procure and protect the freedoms of this great Nation.

Lincoln School will be having a special Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 10th to commemorate this special day. We will be having special guests, speakers, and music.  Our program will begin at 7:50a.m. in front of the school. The American Legion Post 12 color guard will begin our ceremony by raising the flag followed by the Pledge of Allegiance that will be recited by all in attendance. We will then proceed to the gym for a short program.

In the main hallway we are paying special tribute to our Lincoln Veterans by constructing the "Veterans Wall of Honor".  This will be our fifth year celebrating our Lincoln family veterans in this way. Students have also made posters that have been put up throughout the halls of the school.

Please plan to attend the program to honor our veterans and view our "Wall of Honor".

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
