Progress on the Prairie Print
Putnam Museum and Imax Theater Presents: Progress on the Prairie

This unique learning experience will help students become aware of the following points:

Farming methods have changed over time;
People invented machines to fill a need;
Work is easier with machines;
Our region's very rich soil produces high yields;
Farming has dignity

The Museum teacher will present a lesson explaining how farming methods have changed from the time of the Native Americans to the present using artifacts, photographs, posters, and maps.  After the lesson, there will be time for the students to touch the artifacts and ask questions.

The presentation will be held Tuesday, Nover 17th, 2009 at 9:00, 9:45, and 10:30 a.m.

Dixon Public Schools, in cooperation with the community, will provide students with a comprehensive educational program that produces well-educated, self-sufficient, and involved citizens.
