Reagan Middle School 8th grade Art students create hallway ceiling tiles for “Hall 16” and for classroom teachers during third quarter art.
Creating ceiling tiles for the hallways at Washington, Jefferson, and Reagan Middle School has been my passion. I know that when students create art which enhances their school environment, it inspires a sense of ownership and pride for their school community. Every time they see their art exhibited they are reminded about the effort and learning that took place. They remember that art is created to be looked at.
Each quarter eighth grade art students, as their final project, collaborate groups to research, plan, and create “12” new ceiling tiles for Reagan Middle School hallways. The third quarter art students created tiles for “Hallway 16”with a theme of Welcome to Reagan using multi- cultural themes as well as tiles for two science teachers, Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Pearson.
