Academic Bowl Champs

Congratulations to the Reagan Middle School Scholastic Bowl Regional Team!  Eleven students from the team of 24 competed in the Regional Tournament on Wednesday, April 28 in Kewanee and won first place. 
The Reagan team worked together to answer questions about geography, music, art, English, math, and science among other topics.  Maribeth Johnson served as the team's captain.  After three matches, they were declared the champions and will proceed to sectionals on May 3rd. 
Good luck to Maribeth Johnson, Jacob Harrison, Tom Whitcombe, Andrew Clark, Rachael Turffs, Lyss Kutz, Molly Fane, Haylee Altenburg, Nancy Hummel, Zahra Muhsin, and Keenan Longan. It was William Butler Yeats who said, "Education is not a filling of the pail, but the lighting of a fire."  They're hot!
