NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TODAY

The library will be closed TODAY, Friday May 17th.

8th grade students: There are only 9 spots left on the Hannibal, MO trip! Don't miss out! Please see Mrs. Renkes as soon as possible to sign up. Extra permission slips are available from your Language Arts teacher.

8th grade students: The Springfield trip is Tuesday, May 21st. Remember to bring a sack lunch and money for dinner. The buses will leave the RMS parking lot at 6am and return around 8pm. Don't forget to arrange rides for that day.

Patriot Post - All articles are due by Wednesday, May 22nd. No exceptions.

Mr Ricks and Mr Randick's detasseling meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday May 21st has been changed to Thursday May 23rd. The meeting is still at Reagan in the cafeteria at 5:30 pm. If you have any questions please contact Mr Ricks or Mr Randick.

Effective, Monday, May 20th , the cafeteria will no longer be allowing charging, of any kind.  Students who do not have money on their account, will be sent to the office, in order to call home and will not be allowed to charge a lunch.  .
Students, it is your responsibility to make sure you have money on your account.  Parents who have provided the school with an accurate e-mail account, will be receiving daily notices regarding negative balances. 
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Sward in Student Services.

YEARBOOK ORDERS
Still time to order your yearbook!  The full-color yearbook is only $35.  Want a preview? See the cover Friday at lunch and grab an order form or get a form in the office.  $35 must accompany each order! Only 90 left

The Global Project Group will be selling pop during lunch for a $1.00 this week..

Are you participating in sports next year? Get you sports physicals for 2013-2014 with KSB, Wednesday, May 29, 2013.  Town Square Centre - $30.00 - all money collected is donated back to participants' school!!  No appointments needed - but here are the preferred times:3:00 p.m.  -  Dixon High School,  3:45 p.m.  -  Newman High School,  4:30 p.m.  -  Reagan Middle School
5:15 p.m.  -  All other schools

Eighth grade students.....looking for a way to pay off your high school sports fees?  Dixon Public Schools is now taking applications for SWAP (Student Worker Assistance Program) for summer 2013 work.  SWAP allows students to work off their
athletic fees by working various maintenance, custodial, and summer school jobs throughout the district. 
SWAP applications for incoming freshman will be mailed home and should be received by Friday, May 3rd.  Parents of incoming freshman can also download an application online and return it to Mrs. Sward at Reagan Middle School.   The due date for SWAP applications is 4 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013.  Any applications received after this date will be put on our waiting list, and are not guaranteed work during the summer. There will be a student and parent informational meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the DHS auditorium.  This meeting is mandatory for incoming freshman and students new to the SWAP program.  It is recommended for those returning to the program. We look forward to working with students interested in giving back to their school, community, and family with this valuable program.

Detasseling applications are available from Mr. Ricks, Mr. Randick and are in the main office. Students must be 13 in order to fill out an application.

Johnson/Bock detasseling team information/applications are available in the RMS office now!  If you would like to work on the Johnson/Bock team, see the office for a job packet!

Important Dates:
May 27th Memorial Day NO SCHOOL RMS Band marching in Memorial Day Parade 10:00 am.
June 10th last day for student attendance. 8th grade promotion ceremony at 6:30 at Landcaster Gym.
