Congratulations to the 2011-2012 Student Council officers: Secretary/Treasurer- Hannah Acker; Vice-President- Frida Gonzalez; President- Erika Renkes

Please help stock our local food pantry. We will be having a friendly competition between homerooms to see who can collect the most items to donate to the Dixon Food Pantry. The competition will begin today and end on Tuesday, Oct. 4th. Each homeroom has been assigned a food item. Your homeroom teacher has that list. Thank you for your support.

Coach Mead, Varsity Basketball Coach at Dixon High School, will hold a mandatory meeting for all 7th and 8th grade boys who are interested in participating in the upcoming basketball season. This meeting will take place on Monday, October 3rd at 3:00pm in the Reagan cafeteria.

Anyone interested in working on the yearbook must pick up and complete an application. This includes anyone who worked on it last year. Yearbook applications can be picked up in the office. The deadline for returning applications is October 6.

In honor of Homecoming week at DHS, Reagan students will show some spirit with dress themes on the following days:
Monday, October 3 - Sports Day, Tuesday, October 4 - Tacky/Mismatch Day, Wednesday, October 5 - Twin Day
Thursday, October 6th - Purple and White Day. All outfits must still be within the established dress code.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS - The Knights of Columbus are inviting all 10-14 year old boys and girls to participate in the "Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest". This contest is to promote local awareness among young people of the problems of alcohol and drug abuse. The winners from the local contest will move on to the district competition with a chance to enter the state competition. Posters must be submitted by December 1, 2011. Applications are available in the main office.

Middle School Volleyball (girls) Thursday Sept. 29th Byron Middle School 8th grade A/B  at Byron Middle School ;7th A/B at Reagan Middle School 4:00 p.m.,  Monday Oct. 3rd at Dixon Catholic 4:00 p.m. bus leaves at 3:15 p.m.
