Student Council will be selling carnations for Valentine's Day during all lunch periods Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week. The carnations cost one dollar and will be delivered on Valentine's Day. Don't miss out!

Any one who has pictures they are willing to share from Boys Basketball, Cheerleading, Volleyball, or Cross Country events his year, please send them to Mrs. Pace or Mrs. Longan. They can be sent electronically through email or actual pictures with contact name on the back. (We will be sure to return actual pictures.)
Builder's Club will meet Wednesday, February 1st at 7:30 am in the band room. All members must bring birthday bag donations to the meeting or drop them off in Mrs. Renkes's room (139) prior to the meeting.                                                                                                                       

8th graders have received information about the 8th grade night at Dixon High School on Feburary 15 or February 16. The Dixon High School counseling department will meet with 8th grade students and parents in the high school cafeteria to discuss freshman course selection. Parents and students should plan to attend one of the evenings from 6 to 7:30.

Please plan to join us at the Stupor Bowl Silent Auction, Saturday, February 4 from 8 to 1:30. In addition to the autographed Eli Manning football, we have up for auction more than 45 items including two Blackhawk tickets with a parking pass, YMCA gift certificates, Kindle Touch gift package, Chicagoland Skydiving Package, and a $100 gift certificate for Johnny’s Char House in DeKalb. If you cannot attend the auction but would like to place a bid, contact Jan Matha at 284-7725 with your bid. We will bid for you in increments of $5 up to your maximum amount. The Doodle 4 Google competition is back! As always, Doodle 4 Google invites K-12 students to express a theme as creatively as possible using Google’s logo as their canvas. The fifty State Winners will win an all-expense-paid trip to Google's New York City office. This year’s winner, along with having his or her doodle featured on Google's homepage, will take home a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for their school. And as an added bonus, the winning Doodle will be featured on a special edition of Crayola’s 64 box!
This years theme is "If I could travel in time, I would visit ..." If you would like to enter the competition, please stop by Mrs. Conklen's room 216 any time to pick up an official entry form and find out the details. Note: In order to be considered, both pages of the entry form must be completed in full. This includes having a parent or guardians signature.
